a/n: HOWDY!!!! words cannot express how appreciative i am at the recent massive influx of growing support over the past few months despite me being away. i'm happy to present to you my new baby (this fic) also enjoy Derek heavily cameo-ing in here, i just missed him.

No one was scarier than Aaron Hotchner.

With his stoic face and monotone voice, many unsubs and government officials alike have shrunk in his presence. Though sometimes he was all work-no-play (or a stick up his ass, which is always so fondly put), he was soft towards the people he cared about.

That being said, it really shouldn’t have been a surprise when you showed up to the office.

You stood out like a sore thumb amoungst the dull office setting, your dark, almost vampiric-like clothes deeply contrasted the still-life. Your face was complimented by a piercing here or there; one on your eyebrow, a medusa sitting tantalizing above your top lip – which was painted with black lipstick – and your septum was gauged a few sizes up. 

It should have been a lot, but with your trad-goth makeup, it brought the ensemble together.

The visitor sticker stood out against the lace of your top. 

You were searching for someone, that much was obvious, but your eyes just so happened to land on one Derek Morgan.

“Hi.” You breathed out softly as you made eye contact. The intimidating expression on your face melted into a soft one at the hushed greeting.

“Well hello there pretty lady. Who ya looking for?” You smiled at the man’s flirting. “Hey!” You greeted with a bit more enthusiasm. “I’m looking for Aaron? Aaron Hotchner?”

“Aaron? Oh, he’s –” Before he could finish, the man of the hour came bounding down the steps leading to his office.

“Baby.” You greet so softly, so fondly, so filled with love, that Derek feels like he’s intruding on an intimate moment. 

“You’re early.” Aaron rasped. It was clear that he hadn’t left the office for a few with the way his voice fried from unuse. “Ah – sorry, I kinda got a little restless but… I brought you lunch!” To emphasize your point, you lift up the lovely smelling takeout bag and wave it around in small circles. “Forgive me?” You add with a cheeky smile and a tilt of your head.

With the exposure of your teeth, Derek could see the jewelry of a smiley piercing sitting gracefully against your gums.

Aaron looked at the bag and then back at you before speaking. “I suppose I could, but what would I get out of it?” Oh. So he wanted to be cheeky too? Well played. “Well for one, you get to have lunch with your super sweet and cool girlfriend, and secondly, I control whether or not you get kisses.”

This moment proved to Derek that he really didn’t know his boss and close friend as well as he thought he did, because Aaron looked at you with an expression that he hadn’t even given Haley when they were together.

It was a smirk, one that coaxed the need for a challenge, but it was scrambled by the fact that it was fueled by nothing but pure, butterfly inducing love.

It was sickening.

“Well, I see you’ve got this handled.” Derek remarked with a knowing – albeit shit-eating – grin. 

As if you had been broken out of a spell, you tore yourself away from your boyfriend’s enchanting gaze. “Oh, yes! Thank you…”

“Derek. Derek Morgan.” He finished your unasked question.

“Derek…” You repeated as if it sounded familiar. “Oh!” Your eyes lit up in recognition. “Aaron’s told me about you! It’s so nice to finally put a face to the name.”

“Aw, you sweet talk about me behind my back, boss?” Derek teases.

Aaron’s eyes narrowed ever so slightly, but there really wasn’t any real irritation behind it. “If I’m not mistaken,” He began, “You still haven’t completed the first wave of files on your desk.” Your boyfriend nips slightly without even having to glance at his subordinates desk.

Derek all but laughs out loud, “You’re right, my apologies bossman.” His eyes were dripping with mirth. “It was so nice to meet you!” You say with a wave. “You too sweetness.” 

As he scrambles away, you turn to look at Aaron with poorly contained amusement.

“Really?” You ask with a raised brow.

“Sorry sweetheart, but I’d rather not have to inhale my food when I can sit there and leisurely enjoy it with my – how did you put it? – super sweet and cool girlfriend?”

You scoff, allowing him to take your ring adorned hand (making sure to steer clear of stabbing himself on your sharp coffin nails) – which has occurred more than once when you two had begun dating.

“Alright, alright, you little sweet talker, let’s go eat.”

Aaron just chuckles.

How Martyn fucked up my timeline by reusing a skin

So since Martyn is straight up playing the Old Sheriff, and Jimmy and Scott agreed that this is what Tumble Town was supposed to look like, USSMP must be a prequel to Empires s2, taking place between the apocalypse of s1 and the founding of s2.

I know this doesn’t make any sense in the context of the smp being a separate world with its own story but like. Come on. Martyn was the final nail in the coffin here.

And because of this… due to the steampunk skin I’m saying that us!Scott is the ancestor of the twin False’s. Which makes this pre-False in Hermitcraft by at least 20 years but likely closer to 50 (Martyn needs to still be alive for Empires s2 but very old) so us!Scott is now False’s grandpa I guess?

And Eloise being a funko pop??? I mean. There’s an easy connection here. Eloise is a toy and the sidekick??? Of a sheriff, gets teased all the time, clearly could be an ancestor of s2 Jimmy.

Speaking of Jimmy, or Saint Jim, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was in some way related to the god shenanigans of Empires whether that be Lizzie in s1 or Joel in s2. Or BDubs I suppose. But for now I’m going to tentatively say he’s a member of S2 Joel’s extended family, likely a demigod of some description, and known as a fierce protector of his people (though his methods may be… controversial)

And… a completely self indulgent piece… his godly lineage traces back to the same god worshipped by Technoblade, due to the fact that he LITERALLY DID THE EXACT SAME BELL THING TECHNO USED TO DO 😭 I’m not ok but it’s fine.

………that headcanon does make Jimmy’s family tree a little fucked up given who I headcanon the Blood God but hey. It’s just ONE instance of Jimmy. And it’s a common name. He could have been named after a different instance of Jimmy. Yeah. It’s fine.

Wait then who is his OTHER parent oh god. There’s… options there. Hm. I’ll need to. Think about that. Decide on a timeline. Cause if it’s pre-hermitcraft that means they wouldn’t know each other so… but Jimmy doesn’t look anything like him or him and that guy certainly isn’t an option…. That combination is why us!Jimmy Like That. The parents actual identities aren’t super important right now. Or possibly ever, I dunno.

Which means that empires s2 Lizzie is officially the person whose personal family timeline goes back the furthest, cause I hc that her catgirl genes go back to the tiger blood prince of the Lost Kingdom.

I’ll talk about anything with anyone stranger or otherwise but I just don’t necessarily have much to say? And there’s a huge difference between being shy and being completely afraid.

3. Who are you looking forward to seeing? I am always looking forward to seeing one friend of mine. They don’t really talk to me anymore and I never see them but I’m sure I’ll always feel this way.

I watched him dive into that tree, thinking he was doing something admirable for his friend while ridding himself of a painful existence. I watched him overcome and be reborn anew, like a Sovereign would. I commend him for putting himself on the right path.”

more important info (a theory) under the read more regarding kurikara and Scaramouche!

I headcanon/theorize that the Great One under Kannazuka/Tatarasuna is the electro sovereign, Kurikara. A shrine maiden mentions this ‘great one’ at the end of a thunder sakura quest (the one where the Fatui awaken the dead hypostasis. I forgot the name of this quest already).

I also theorize that, besides possibly Makoto and Irminsul, Ei used pieces of the Sovereign (or Orobashi) to make Scaramouche. Raiden Shogun’s character story mentioned she used a huge amount of resources to make her dolls. The body of a deceased/resting Sovereign or Orobashi could be the ‘unimaginable amount of resources.’

as stated in the above passage.

I also believe Scaramouche’s fate will bring him back to Tatarasuna, hopefully to help rebuild it, and that would open up interactions between him and the Great One that rests below Kannazuka.

Why do I call this sovereign Kurikara? well, Genshin is part of the Honkaiverse, whether people believe it or not. In Honkai Impact, Raiden Mei had a dragon named Kurikara. It was created from/uses the dead body of Benares, Kiana’s dragon.

Why is Ei/Inazuma without a dragon in Genshin? Many wrongfully attribute Orobashi as her dragon, but he belongs to Enkanomiya/Watatsumi. I believe Inazuma’s dragon is resting.

Also, Kurikara is the dragon sword of Fudo Myo-o and destroys delusions and attachments. Kurikara is also the draconic personification of energy developed through sword practice and iirc, Fudo Myo-o can turn into Kurikara.

Swords were a big part of Scaramouche’s lore. He spent time with the swordsmiths (Niwa Hisahide, Katsuragi and Mikoshi Nagamasa), witnessed the creation of the Daitara Nagamasa claymore, and performed a sword dance. He may even have knowledge of Isshin Art, depending on how much Niwa taught him.

Considering all of these points, it is fitting for him to be made from a dragon heavily associated with swords irl.

My friend Eoyorha also pointed out that Fudo Myo-o himself was wrathful, wears a lotus on his head and uses anger as a form of enlightenment, which fits Wanderer perfectly.

and that’s it! that’s my simple theory on the electro sovereign and her/his connections to Scaramouche!

I also gave him/her a Meiface + sometimes looking like Scara, in rp, until Kuri is given an official humanoid appearance.

ahhh!! so there was an ask from forever ago that was talking about how unicorns refer to “newborns” that haven’t picked a name yet? and i was thinking how there are rarely more than one at a time so people might just call them “little one” or “new guy” or something but also! calling them by defining characteristics like blondie/tiny/etc! and i thought that they’d essentially be “childhood” nicknames that old friends would call them. like for example when, say, mel first showed up people just called her shorty until she picked their name :0 (though i doubt they enjoyed it akdnakdn) -prev anon 💜

OHHHH YES YES YES!!! GENIUS!!!! Love this idea!!! Also any excuse to give characters little nicknames gets a solid yes from me <3 especially since in my culture you almost exclusively use nicknames for people you’re close with! So I think it would be fun that instead of starting w a name and getting a nickname as you become more a part of a community, it would be the reverse where you start w a (or a few!) nickname(s) given to you by the community and then as you become older and more sure of yourself you finally pick your name and become an “official” part of unicorn society! (Though it’s not very strict I imagine!) (or maybe even any unicorns who helped raise you still call you that nickname as a sign of affection and showing they were there for you since the beginning of something to that nature!!) BUT YEAH!!!
